Family Care Portal (Porchlight Pattern)

Care, coordinated in the open: the portal pattern that keeps a family's care circle — people, professionals, schedule — in one trusted place.

What it is

The family care portal — built on the Porchlight pattern — gives a family caring for a loved one a single, private home: the care circle's people, the schedule, the medications and notes, the professionals involved, and the reminders that keep everyone in step.

What it does

Instead of care scattered across family group chats and sticky notes, the portal holds the shared truth: who does what, when; what changed; who needs to know. Access is permissioned per person — family see family things, professionals see their slice, and the record stays the family's.

How it fits the Logix system

The portal is the Logix hub pattern at its most human: the same discipline — one record, permissioned views, a worked queue of tasks — pointed at the work families do for each other. Certain builds stay private until the family says otherwise; that's part of the pattern too.

Status

Built per family on the pattern — private by design until the family publishes.

The film — in production

Family Care Portal — One Place for the Whole Circle

Caring for a loved one runs on group chats, sticky notes, and memory — until it can't. The Porchlight-pattern portal gives the care circle one private home: schedule, notes, people, reminders — each person seeing their slice. This film introduces the pattern.
